A response to the Medical Profession

Searching the internet for Homeopathy content for this site, one cannot help but encounter various criticisms of the practice, generally from the Medical Profession. Labeled by everything from quack to criminal, Homeopathic practitioners appear to be the bane of the American Medical Association. With all due respect to the medical community with whom I have the utmost admiration for the dedication and (most of) the services they provide to those who can afford it, I feel this message must be sent to them. "Relax"

Due to your obvious desire to be one of society's elite and the pricing of your services towards that end, many of us have had little choice but to resort to alternative methods when illness occurs. With the AMA and the Insurance industries constant lobbying (and in effect, bribing) of our political officials) National health care is a fantasy. A tool to be bandied about at election time and then quickly forgotten. To a great many of us, professional medical care is not a realistic option. Therefore we would not be able to avail ourselves of your services in any event so please do not remove our only alternative simply because you do not accept it's validity.

I cannot help but relate your critique and malice to the great wisdom of the ancient Greek scientists, whose modern research proved undeniably that the sun and the stars revolved around the Earth and anyone who believed otherwise was a heretic and a criminal, if not a fool.

I am not a doctor. I am only one of millions who cannot afford and are not granted health services due to the fact we are in the middle of the economic spectrum and not on either end. Therefore many of us resort to the same resources our forefathers had while building this great Nation. "Whatever we can lay our hands on, whatever we find that works and the Grace of God." (Another resource that many in the medical profession scoff upon)

Dignified and polite rebuttals will be posted.
