Definition: A hotlink is a direct link to an image on someone else's web server. For example, if you saw an image that you like in one of our pages and you put the image on your weblog using the image URL source of this site, then you are hotlinking. This uses our bandwidth, which is unacceptable. The right thing to do, is to save the image or file on your computer. Then, upload it to your own server. You can then link the image to your weblog. If you do not have your own server, you can find some good ones listed in our Webmaster section.
