You consider asking the Captain to explain what has happened to her crew or at least ask why she is so close to the nebula but perhaps you should follow Starfleet protocol and assume command.. It might be prudent to let the ships medical officer handle the Captain, or perhaps try to seek allies to help you among the crew or at least try to find the First Officer.
